Suffering from a physical or mental disability can frighten you regarding your employment. Employers Cannot Discriminate

The government obligates employers to accommodate workers who have disabilities. Your Work Environment Might Get Better
Your employer can't help you if you don't let them know you need help. They are prohibited from discussing your disability with your coworkers and other people. Thus, you don't have to worry about having your information spread about. You can keep your disability a secret from your coworkers as long as you want. Informing your employer about it will let them know how they can help you. They may serve different types of lunches if you're someone who can't eat certain foods, for example. They can only make the change if you let them know you need it.
Don't assume your employer will do something harmful to you. Instead, go ahead and disclose the information and talk to your employer about your disability to find out if they can accommodate you. You might be surprised about what they're willing to do to help you succeed.
